Fujifilm has just announced Instax Mini 11, a new instant camera that macro-shooters and selfie-takers could find particularly interesting. It offers close-up capabilities, automatic exposure and some other improvements, so let’s dive into more detail and see what we can expect.
The Instax Mini 11 uses Instax Mini Film and produces credit card-sized prints. One of the most significant improvements is an automatic exposure function, so you no longer need to adjust the settings manually in different lighting conditions. The camera also features a built-in flash for shooting in low-light.
Another interesting addition is the aforementioned possibility of close-up shooting. The 60mm fixed focus lens allows you to shoot from 11.8″ (30cm) to infinity without using a lens attachment. And if you want to shoot selfies, there’s a built-in mirror on the front of the lens so you can see yourself. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 is available for preorders and you can get it in five colors: Blush Pink, Charcoal Gray, Ice White, Lilac Purple, and Sky Blue. The camera costs $69.95, and it’s expected to start shipping on 5 March 2020.
