It is a sad day for the photography community as we report that Michael Reichmann, the founder of Luminous-Landscape, has died aged 71 after a long battle with cancer. Having started Luminous-Landscape 17 years ago with good friend, Chris Sanderson, the site has grown to become one of the largest and most respected photography resources on the web.
A passionate photographer with many decades of experience, his wisdom and advice has been invaluable to many over the years, myself included, but Michael also kept us very entertained.
Over the past year, Michael had been focusing on his health and growing the Luminous-Endowment, a charitable fund providing grants to deserving photographers and their projects around the world. Michael will be missed by everybody here at DIYP, and our thoughts are with his family and friends. Tribute to Michael Reichmann on Luminous-Landscape
