We’ve seen some incredible videos from Beauty of Science and I’m always happy to see new ones. The latest timelapse, The Vibrancy, comes from Envisioning Chemistry, a collaboration between Beauty of Science and Chinese Chemical Society. It shows various crystalization processes up close, and it’s full of vibrant colors and playful patterns. Along with perfect music, it’s a real feast for the eyes, ears, and soul. Check it out!
The Vibrancy is the sequel of The Arctic, a video published by Envisioning Chemistry last year. It had been filmed for about seven months and it recorded the crystallization processes of different salts. While The Arctic is black and white, The Vibrancy was filmed with polarized light which gives it the hypnotizing colors and a totally new dimension. If anyone told me nack at school that chemistry is fun and beautiful, I’d probably laugh at them. But when I watch videos like this, I realize how much beauty and even art can be found in a simple chemical reaction. Make sure to watch The Vibrancy and have a minute to enjoy. And here’s The Arctic too, it’s not colorful but it’s also gorgeous.
