It looks like there isn’t that much longer to wait for Canon to finally pull completely pull the curtain away on the much anticipated EOS R5 and EOS R6 mirrorless cameras, according to a report on Canon Rumors, who say that they will be doing simultaneous live streams in the USA and Europe on July 9th. CR says that their source also told them that the upcoming RF teleconverters will also work with any RF lens – although there’s no word on how well they’ll work, if at all, with adapted EF lenses – and that there are a bunch more “cool” adapters and lens extras coming later in the year.

A post to Twitter by Nokishita also suggests that the EOS R5 and EOS R6 won’t be the only things announced during the July 9th live stream, listing some of the other equipment expected to be announced at the same time, including the various kits, grips and other accessories.

We’re also expecting to possibly hear the following lenses and teleconverters being officially unveiled, too.

I’m still very curious to find out what Canon has to say about those f/11 lenses and exactly who they’re targeting them towards. There may be other equipment added to this list, and we may not hear about some of those lenses, too. But, chances are, even if we do hear all those lens announcements above, some of them may only be development announcements and not availability announcements. I think (or at least hope) that the two cameras would be a pretty safe bet, though as far as availability announcements go. At the moment, the EOS R6 expected to ship as soon as August and the EOS R5 in September. [via Canon Rumors]
